[synopsis]

A queer filmmaker returns to their aging childhood home, where their soon-to-retire mother begins to break free from entrenched patriarchal and generational expectations.

The two reconcile with the past, despite unspoken hardships throughout the decades, years after the filmmaker came out.

This film documents a short two-week visit to the family home in the season of sweet osmanthus blooms, intertwined with archival materials found around the house, before the big renovation wipes away any proof of existence.
